Rp idea:

[SOME THINGS CONTRADICT EACH OTHER, SORRY BRO]
[Also some of this is written like it's going to be a story, I gave up on it being an rp. What if I turned it into a game?]
God this thing is so uncoordinated

[Please note: Any mention of we, us or our refers to DAMP corps. heroes team. Any mention of your, you or yours refers to you, the reader of this report published by DAMP corp.]
Symptoms:

TO REVERT A INFECTED, YOU MUST EITHER:
  1. Inject antivirus. (Big fuck-off needle, ear defenders recommended)
The infected must be medicated by a class B or Higher rank.
  2. Civilians must not engage with the infected.
  3. Hold in containment for 3 weeks.

  4. Without any hosts to spread the virus to, the infected die. It's a worst case scenario for when a antivirus is not available
Civilians must not engage with the infected.

Infected backstory:
Not a contact virus, instead choosing to spread via your awareness. The infection starts when a few individuals become so terrifyingly greedy for power and wealth that they become inhuman, only a shell. They don't feel pain as they're so infatuated with 'striking it lucky' that they would even sustain injury before distracting themselves from it. Scientists have found no logic behind this way of being and tests on those infected show that the virus spreads later on in an outbreak by an infected convincing a healthy person that the infected species is a massive success and that their only way to survive is to join them.

This time, the outbreak started with a handful of wealthy students who had for some time been planning, in an almost cult-like manner, to become the richest, most powerful people in the continent using some devious methods. After a while of planning and preparing the virus took hold.

Then through convincing some that their success was inevitable, the infection spread to a wider group of teachers. Followed by education leaders and finally an MP. You've now learned that the infection spreads by convincing others that you are powerful. Even if you have nothing. Therefore the infection spreading to an MP was the perfect storm to begin this particular outbreak. The MP was broadcasted gloating their success globally and such our worst nightmare became reality. We are now in a state of apocalypse.

Format:

The Quadrant- the tall building.
Quartered people-people infected with the disease caused by greed (which has not yet got a name). Everyone who works in the Quadrant is quartered.
Quartered people live in sky scrapers and other tall places.
Terrace- ground level
Terraced people- people who live at ground level.
Gutter- the underground
Gutted- the people who live underground

Okay so the disease has a name now it's formally known as Brass' Virus but informally known as the Guillotine.

*Wherever you see "Gutted" or "Terraced" assume I am talking about the "Gutted people" or the "Terraced people"
+Terms like "Gutted" and "Terraced" are more for those 'in the know'. Common folk in the Quadrant and the Terrace most likely wouldn't use these terms.

The Quadrant- a large government building split into four parts (also the name of said government)
Quads the people who work in the government
Conquads- people paid to do the Quadrant's dirty work
The terrace- (community/people)- the people who still work normal lives, very few of them are aware of the current political climate.
Gutter/the gutted- as the name suggests they have nothing, they have to commit crime to live but there is a sense of community between all of them. A lot of them literally live underground.
Mice- people appearing to work for The Quadrant who are actually spies for the gutted.

Faction information [unfinished]

The people in the Quadrant only care about two things, money and power. They aim to take as much as they can from those in the terrace and despite being aware and able to help out those people in the gutter, they chose to ignore them for the most part. Only intervening when the gutted are forced to turn to crime.

The terraced people are a mix of those who are aware of the corruption in the Quadrant and those who live normal lives completely unaware. Most terraced people take pity/look down on the guttered people but others swap between being a part of the guttered and the terraced. It's complicated.

Guttered people often don't wish to leave the gutter because of the sense of community and the common aim of taking down the Quadrant. Gutted people who leave often return within a few weeks.

The gutted are planning a revolution against the Quadrant (because obviously, they suck and so does everything they stand for. People are dying because of them. They have no food, no health care and are just being left to rot. Their loved ones are dying and this is the only thing they can do to stop it.) and are hiring as many of the Terraced as possible to help them do this. The issue is that some of the Terraced people are unaware of the tension and the Gutted would like to keep it that way, just to keep damage to a minimum. They aren't barbarians, after all.
Everyone in The Quadrant was originally a terraced person but became infected with an ideology caused by greed. Nowadays, people are being born into Quartered families which is fucked up but alright.

A little bit more about the Terraced, because they're complicated.
There are some Terraced people who know about the revolution. They want to spread the word about the revolution to convince more people to join the Gutted. The issue is, no one wants to be poor and no one wants to be arrested. The Gutted sort of wants the word to be spread around (so they can get more help from the *competent* terraced people, even though it sounds awful to phrase it like that) but don't want too much pushback from the Quadrant. The Gutted also don't want to panic the unaware Terraced because that could get them in trouble.

END REPORT

I decided to use LORE as currency, to try to keep the rp active. Eventually I'll type out a shop and a way to earn lore in the background.

Shop

LORE (1lr) = 10 GBP (10 pound)
1 LORET (1let) = 1 GBP (1 pound)

Your characters need food, water and items? No problem- Here's a primitive stall

[since this is a story now, these can just be quips. "eugh you fucking reak, the infected will smell from a mile away", "here, have this. I don't want to be killed because of your stomach."]
